when in the Bible Joshua asked God to hold the sun, the bible records that God actually held the sun (i.e. there was no nightfall until the war was over). question: What did God really do?

He stopped the Sun from orbiting the Earth. There are Christians that think it still does orbit the the Earth: which is only 6,000 years old. Also, the trillions upon trillion of stars were created only to give Adam and Eve something to look at!

I noticed your name sounds like you must be an Antalope on a beach. Is that who you are?

Ok. I thought you were being a wise ass. My mistake. No offence ment or taken. An impala is a form of antalope, and playa is Spanish for beach, so I made a play on your name. My name is Bud Camp.
I am not a Christian, not even a theist. I can't even imagine a god that could create what I can see of the universe.
What about you? Do you belive a god created these trillions of stars? If so, why do you think he did it?

Well i am a christian, although i would like to know more about the universe and gods. I do believe God created the universe and all the stars around us, but i am open to any other theorys or beliefs. So thats why i am here to gain knowledge about everyone elses opinions and beliefs

So long as noone tries to impose their beliefs upon me....I'm fine with them...
But the moment anyone tries.....JUST WATCH OUT!!!
Feel free to express your views in that regard, but don't try to convert people on these forums...

first problem: stop dissing each other.
second problem: stop trying to convert people in public forums.
it may be true that there is a god, and if there is, why would he create a planet for a species that can't see the future of its own self? if there is a god, i think he would have made us so that we learned a little quicker. as it is, could it be that he just wants to humor himself while the human race squanders recources and hasn't developed far enough to look to space for answers?
if so, the human race will die. the earth's recources will not last forever. our feul supply will last about another 50 years if we are lucky.
that being a real problem.
if i could say anything more clearly, i would.
now, i dont mean to be insulting to anyone, but shut up about each other and about religion. we are here to discuss "if"s and "when"s.
not absolutes.
even saying there are no absolutes would be an absolute. so, with that in mind, what more can i say?
