Hey have you guys heard of the new planet quaoar its past pluto and half its size I was just wondering if this is a real planet and if so , when do you think they will make it an official planet

I did research on this planet and i dont think it will become a planet but if you guys wanna look at it here it is

Seems like a wonderful resource for our descendents as they prepare to leave the solar system....

After seeing the size relations of Quaoar as compared to other celestial bodies, I would have to agree. A small body would be easy to colonize and fairly cheap to maintain (on a spacial scale. you know, about 3 billion dollars). But, what if we found that it was made primarily of a recourse that we are very limited of on Earth?
It may be only 800 miles in diameter, very small for a celestial object, but that makes for a lot of material. Would that divert us to colonizing Pluto instead and using it as a mining base for Quaoar?
