Hello Everyone
I already sent this out on the discuss mailing list, but i am posting this here so that it is easier to reply :D
While I was looking online for things going on in the space industry I
found a competition called the Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award.
Here is a link to the site: http://space.xprize.org/x-prize-cup/conrad_award/
It is a competition for high school students to design a concept that
would benefit the space industry in the next 50 years. Our chapter has
some people interested, including myself, and we have one idea right
now. It is a turbofan/ramjet/scramjet/rocket hybrid engine. I can
explain more about it if you want. I was wondering what any of you
might have for ideas. And also I am looking for any information on
ramjets, scramjets, and turbofans that I can find. And if any of you
are wondering about the rocket we were working on, we will still work on
it, but after we have submitted the concept for this competition.
Any input is greatly appreciated ; ).
Thanks very much,
Kelly Mann
