Hi,
I assume that a lot of you know www.yurisnight.net
Does who doesn't know it can read more about in the website :)
Now what I think is that SEDS should talk to the guys organizing and offer to co-operate on it and make yuri's night an official activity so local chapters will be encouraged. I think it is a good idea for several reasons :
a) yuri's night is a good idea
b) It will provide some sense of unity between the different chapters. It will also promote co-operation
c) Thru yuri's night SEDS will also earn recognition and will attract new members.
SEDS-Israel is already organizing 2 parties in israel for 2003

Hi Daniel,
I whole-heartedly agree! I've been involved with Yuri's Night since the very first party in LA and have passively tried to get chapters to participate in Yuri's Night in the past (sending out an email about it, etc).
We should definately include a summary about Yuri's Night and a basic example of how easy it would be for chapters to organize a party in future chapter communications.

Hi all
Do you know what is going on with YN2003?
It seems that it has been quite slow this year :(
there is not any posters I can use for ads, which is a shame....

IUB SEDS will host YN2003, well most probably at least. We have applied for funds etc. so once it goes through we are on track.
And Daniel, check the Yuri's Night web site, under the party resources the 2003 page has two decent posters, you can always modify these if you dont like them enough.

I believe the Mars Society here is hosting a Yuri's night celebration, we are looking into seeing if they need any help.
But also, would those who started Yuri's night want it to be officially affiliated with any one group? I don't think that we could be officially affiliated with it, as many other groups also help on Yuri's night activities, but maybe SEDS could somehow help sponsor Yuri's night, and especially have any SEDS chapter put on a Yuri's night celebration. If we could be officially affiliated, hey cool! :)
Joshua.

well yuri's night is SGAC activity, but I think it will be cool if SEDS will be affilated with it, like other bodies are....
