Under the supervision of a project manager, the intern will mainly work on a study focusing on Russia and its international partnerships, but could also contribute to other ESPI projects (studies, conferences, seminars, etc.). Closing date: 17 December 2007.

Internship at the European Space Policy Institute (http://www.espi.or.at) in Vienna, Austria

ESPI is looking for a full-time intern for a period of 6 months, starting in
January 2008.

Activities
Under the supervision of a project leader, the intern will work on a study
focusing on recent issues and trends in global space policy providing an
in-depth analysis of the European space sector in a broader (geo-political,
economic and industrial) context.

Duties
The intern responsibilities will include:

Information gathering and data mining for the above-mentioned study
Drafting in-depth memos on relevant key issues
Supporting the preparation of reports


Requirements

The intern should have completed a university degree, or equivalent, or
should be in his/her final year.
Demonstrated interest in space policy and international relations is a
definite asset.
Knowledge and experience in the space field is desirable.
The intern should have excellent written and spoken knowledge of English.
The intern must have strong analytical and drafting skills.
Applicants should show a good sense of initiative, demonstrate flexibility
and autonomy, as well as the ability to work effectively in a small team and
have excellent organizational skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) is required.

Non EU member states applicants must have an EU Visa
