Does anyone from the UK use these forums?

You're the first to use it regularly, but dont let that discourage you!

Being first means you get to shape the UKSEDS' involvement on these forums, and help shape the future involvement of UKSEDS with the rest of the organization.

Anyone else interested in starting up a UKSEDS division in the south west?

Have you guys identified where SEDS chapters are in the UK?

hey guys,

Love it that you're sticking around to hear our replies. Maybe you could try to catch up with some of the UKSEDS guys at the UK Space Conference. Are you going?

The UKSEDS page is here - http://uk.seds.org - and you can read about the above conference on that page...

You can see the current branches list (I guess they don't call them chapters) here - http://www.uk.seds.org/branches/current/

This page tells you how to become members - http://www.uk.seds.org/membership/

I think they've been working night and day off their asses on the UK Space Conference.

Try to catch them at the Conference or maybe mail them after it?

As well as the branches listed on that page (which is very out-of-date) there are people in Cambridge and Southampton, and I think there's a group in Edinburgh, too.

The facebook group has a bit more info. Manchester, Cambridge and Southampton have facebook groups, though the Southampton one is not global so you can't join it.

I'll be at the Space Conference, so look forward to meeting lots of people there.

Andy, which uni are you at?

Check your Private Messages (should be upper-right corner) -- just sent you an email contact for SEDS in Wales at Abersytwyth

I am at bath uni, on the electronics with space science course, so there are bound to be a few students who would be interested in a bathSEDS there, and bath uni has a big physics department.

Nearby is bath spa uni, and bristol is barely an hour away.

I could start asking around to see if there is an interest.

Hello all,

Thanks for all your great postings. Sorry for the delay in my own posting. I only found out that these existed a few weeks ago. Now I intend to be a regular postee :)

For current UK-SEDS chapters we have:

University of Manchester
University of Leicester
Kingston University
Kings Collage London
University of Durham
University of Southampton
University of St Andrews
University of Edinburgh

www.uk.seds.org/

Although we welcome all, so get a group together and sign-up! It is really easy, plus load of benefits as well.

I would recommend everyone to come to the UK Space Conference www.spaceconference.org.uk/ I will be there and look forward to meeting you all.

Okay, I think I have caught up on the chain, any more questions, please email me directly at vice-chair@uk.seds.org/

Cheers

Alison

http://www.uk.seds.org/branches/current/ seems to be out-of-date.
Thanks for the list.

Alison, have you found the thing to get it to email you whenever any post is made in the UK section? I found that quite useful.
Also, how do we become an official branch? Where can we get the forms? We've got individual members, but the website doesn't seem to say what to do next or how to become a branch.
