There is an exciting internship opportunity available
from John Gedmark of the Personal Spaceflight
Foundation. John is a big supporter of SEDS, and this
is a great opportunity for any SEDS member.

I would highly recommend any SEDS member apply for
this internship. NOTE they are accepting CVs on a

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Personal Spaceflight Federation is looking for
intern applicants
for the Summer of 2008. Interns who are selected will
be supporting
the Personal Spaceflight Federation in our work on
various technical
standards, public policy, regulatory, and marketing
projects, as well
as other business needs as they arise. Interns will
have insight into
industry decisions and government interactions at the
highest level,
including work with NASA, the White House, and Capitol
Hill. PSF
interns typically interact with a number of member
companies during
work on any given project, providing a unique
opportunity to directly
experience what private industry has to offer.

The internship is based in Washington, DC. Interns
will receive a
small housing stipend and there is the possibility for
additional
compensation depending on experience. A personal
laptop and cell
phone are required.

ABOUT THE PERSONAL SPACEFLIGHT FEDERATION
The Personal Spaceflight Federation is the industry
association of
leading businesses and organizations working to make
commercial human
spaceflight a reality. The mission of the Personal
Spaceflight
Federation is to promote the development of commercial
human
spaceflight, pursue ever higher levels of safety, and
share best
practices and expertise throughout the industry.

Member organizations of the Personal Spaceflight
Federation include
commercial developers and operators of spaceships,
spaceports, and
orbital spaceflight facilities. The Personal
Spaceflight Federation
is governed by a board of directors comprised of the
entrepreneurs and
CEO-level officers who represent the member companies.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS
Any student with a passion for space is encouraged to
apply, although
some technical experience or an aerospace engineering
major is
preferred. Students with an interest in public
policy, law, and/or
politics are particularly recommended to apply.

You need to contact the organizer of the internship, John Gedmark.

That internship listed above was posted in March, so I would expect they have filled it since then.
