dar barbapapa,

no they didn't tell me i was a backup....maybe not everyone is a backup;)

for what concerns the reimbursement, i got it after the final mail...and yes, it is from paris, so maybe they need extra burocracy...

@kiekaboe:

may i ask why you resigned? did you get something better meanwhile? what was the position you applied for?

to everybody:

so what are you going to do now??

i have to choose between a multinational company in mobile telephony and a consulting company in satellite services....still dont know!!

what about you??

bye

I've just received an email about the reimbursement:

"Thank you for your inquiry. As for your reimbursement I would like to apologise for the delay, the finance department is still working on the backlog of reimbursements and therefore this process is, unfortunately, taking so long. I am hoping that within the two coming weeks you should receive your reimbursement. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please be assured that you will receive your reimbursements.

Kind regards"

Hey guys!! do not worry, they will call you just one month before the start of the contract :)
I was selected to go to ESTEC , they call me more than 2 months after the interview and just one month before the start of the job. However I asked to start on July.
So I am starting on July at ESTEC... anybody else??? PLEASE JOIN FB: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=inf ... 272&ref=ts

Good luck for you all and keep dreaming in Space!!!

Andrea

I called to get an update (I'm a backup) and found out that the other candidate sent something which is not a contract, but indicates that the position probably won't be available for me.

Hello Everyone,
if you are scheduled an interview, do they pay for the travel expenses? I would be coming from LA...
Thank you!

I would recommend continuing the discussions for the recent announcements in the "2011"-Thread. But to answer your question fgasperini: if you are invited, you get your travel expenses reimbursed. Judging from comments in this thread, the reimbursement takes several weeks. Since the invitations might be on short notice the tickets could get quite expensive. You should start saving some money to have it available. Good luck!

Sounds really interesting. I want to grab this opportunity. I am fresh graduated until now I don't have any work. I hope I can be the best candidate in any position.
